Top 10 Eco Friendly Products to Make 2021 Greener

Eco Friendly

Over the last decades, we have seen more and more effects of climate change and global warming. Which has resulted in harsh weather conditions and natural disasters. While there is no way to stop global warming or climate change, there is a way to slow it down.

One way for us, individuals, to be part of the solution is to use eco friendly products. There are a lot of different eco friendly products out in the market. While each one serves a different purpose and solution, they all aim to lessen the burden on planet earth. As a person that is constantly thinking about what to do or what to buy to lessen the damage, I have done a lot of research and testing with different eco friendly products. Here are 10 eco friendly products that I have selected that will help us be a lot more environmentally friendly.

10 Eco Friendly Products That You Need

As mentioned above, I have been searching and testing different eco friendly products in my everyday life. Replacing conventional products with eco friendly products is a fun and rewarding process for me. Especially if the eco friendly products turn out better than the conventional one. Those are the cherry on top of my sundaes and once I find all the goodies, I have to share it with others. So here is my selection of eco friendly products.

Eco Friendly Kitchen Product: Food Wrap

Personally, I love these reusable food wraps, they are great beginner friendly eco friendly products too. They reduce so much plastic waste from plastic wrap and they are adorable. The ones I am currently using are from a Japanese brand (Acowrap) that uses natural dyes, locally produced beeswax, USDA approved jojoba oil, and organic cotton. You can use this on bowls or wrap half cup vegetables. However, it is recommended you not wrap it around meat or put in the microwave. While it is on the pricier side in comparison to some other food wraps you can find on amazon, I personally like it for their simplicity and the idea of collaborating with traditional Japanese dyeing techniques and methods.
You can easily find these eco friendly products from other brands such as Honey Wrap or on amazon. These food wraps or beeswax right will help reduce a lot of plastic wrap waste and brighten up your kitchen.

Eco Friendly Cleaning

A lot of times, the dish soap and cleaning products we use contain very strong and harsh chemical ingredients. While they perform very well, these chemicals are being washed down the drain and often end up in the environment or animals, or even in your stomach (when you didn’t rinse properly). Picking more natural or non-toxic cleaning products is much better. If you want to take it to another level, it is also possible to create your own eco friendly cleaning products. But for those of you that don’t have the energy or time, I suggest brands like Seventh Generation, or Mrs. Meyer’s.
P.S. Baking Soda is also a great choice! Very affordable and very versatile for cleaning.

Eco Friendly Products For Your Kitchen

If you cook quite often or like me, spill things quite often, paper towels are necessities. However, that’s a lot of paper towel, and here is a much more eco friendly option, reusable cleaning cloth or dish cloth. These reusable cleaning cloths are so versatile, you can use them for washing dishes, wiping down your counter and all sorts of cleaning. Not only can you reusable them by rinsing them properly after use, you can easily throw them into the washing machine or dishwasher or even microwave depending on the brands for a deep cleanse. Depending on some brands, they are even biodegradable, so after a few months you can switch them out.

Eco Friendly Coffee Filter and Tea Infuser

If you drink coffee or tea on a daily basis, you might want to get a reusable coffee filter, tea infuser or steeper, or even a reusable coffee pods/capsule. They are very handy and easy to use. For me, I love the simplicity of a coffee filter, I am currently using one from Kinto Slow Coffee Style. These stainless steel filters just sit perfectly on the jug and once you are done, it comes with a filter holder, you can easily remove it on place into the holder while you enjoy your coffee. Oftentimes, I would use the leftover ground coffee in my plants or use them to deodorize my fridge. While conventional coffee filters are paper which is not as bad as plastic, waste is still waste. Same concept applies for the tea infuser/steeper and coffee pods.

Often ending up in the ocean and eaten up fishes and it would eventually travel up the food chain and to us, humans.
